Summary:
Responsible for the day-today operation and assigned activities within the Security department. Oversee the department and/or shifts as assigned. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to manage departmental concerns with guest and/or team member challenges.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
- Provide protection for guests and team members
- Assist with answering questions about property, giving directions, and guidance
- Handle all monetary transactions between the cage and gaming tables in compliance with Nevada Gaming Regulations and as required by management
- Maintain and update log of incidents involving guests, team members and customers of the casino
- Maintain surveillance of the cage and surrounding area
- Properly document reports security related incidents that occur in the casino area
- Render appropriate first aid to injured guests or team members
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other security, training, or administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of law enforcement, military or EMT experience preferred
- Proven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and/or interacting with challenging patrons
- Required to complete pre-employment firearms qualifications
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Able to attend and successfully complete all quarterly firearms training and annual security recertification training
- Compliance with all mandatory training courses and certifications on an annual basis (i.e. Sexual Harassment, New Leader Orientation, Active Shooter, MDTS, etc.)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
