In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain independence, improve daily living skills, and engage in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community. We currently offer Part-Time positions around the Twin Cities Metro area.
Pay rate: $20 hourly mileage reimbursement. Flexible day and evening schedules available.
Various IHS Positions Available Now:
- Little Canada: Serve as a one-on-one caregiver in the client's home. 20 hours per week: Mon-Thurs 9:00-2:00.
- Saint Paul: Serve as a one-on-one caregiver in the client's home or out in the community. 4-6 hours per week, over two weekdays during the day. Skilled in de-escalation and managing behaviors preferred.
- Minneapolis: Serve as a one-on-one caregiver in the client's home. Saturdays for 4 hours each week.
Key Responsibilities for IHS Professionals:
- Personal Care and Support: Offer assistance with personal care, including hygiene, meals, and medication management.
- Engagement in Activities: Facilitate enjoyable and meaningful activities to ensure individuals remain engaged and active at home and in the community.
- Life Skills Training: Assist individuals in learning and improving skills for independent living, including budgeting, grocery shopping, and meal planning.
- Emotional Support: Foster companionship and provide emotional support, creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere.
- Household Assistance: Help with household chores such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
- Safety and Well-being: Ensure a safe and secure environment for the individuals you support.
Job Requirements for IHS Professionals:
- High school degree/G.E.D. and be 18 years of age or older.
- Pass DHS background study and maintain clearance to provide direct services without continuous supervision.
- Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license, proof of car insurance and clean driving record required.
