Due to recent growth in Eastern NY and Western CT, particularly in Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester, and Fairfield counties, we have several new career opportunities. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Area Manager to lead our sales and delivery services. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of Sales and Service Delivery Managers. You and your team will consult with customers, prepare accurate estimates, guide the execution of residential and commercial painting projects, and build new relationships while maintaining existing ones.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We seek candidates who excel in revenue-generating activities as well as team management. As a proxy for the Owners, you will manage the daily operations of the business while enabling them awareness and oversight without daily involvement. Key responsibilities include implementing our proven sales process, initiating lead generation programs, and overseeing jobs as a customer advocate. You will also follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will work closely with the Owners, Sales Managers, and Delivery Teams while building and nurturing a client portfolio. You will manage the Sales and Service Delivery Managers to ensure certain KPIs are achieved, and quality is upheld across all territories in the assigned area. Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate sales and delivery activities across all area territories.
Lead team huddles and quality meetings to ensure consistent team alignment.Coordinate with Marketing Team to ensure that all field marketing programs are being executed.Coordinate with Owners in all business operating decisions and plans.Coordinate with Owners on both residential and commercial strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs).Backfill, where necessary, sales and delivery managers.Sales and Business DevelopmentGenerate a pipeline of leads using a lead generation program for residential and commercial projects.
Form partnerships with realtors, designers, builders, property managers, local businesses, etc.Obtain referrals by attending networking events such as BNI groups, chambers of commerce, etc.Generate leads by running a booth at events such as home shows.Research and start partnerships and referral programs to boost lead flow.Qualify and manage leads, set appointments, and follow up on customer inquiries.Convert appointments to sales, aiming to close deals that meet our high standards.Provide accurate and detailed quotes to customers at the correct margins.Guide customer interactions from initial contact to project completion, ensuring excellent service and satisfaction.Close opportunities efficiently to minimize crew downtime.Project Delivery and ManagementOversee all production activities, coordinate with subcontractors, and maintain quality control on job sites.
Track project milestones and keep accurate production reports using our CRM and scorecards.Meet clients' needs, communicate status, and deliver quality projects.Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects from start to finish, including final touch-ups and payment collection.Schedule delivery crews and manage purchase and change orders as needed.Manage and interview delivery crews, ensuring the right crew-to-job ratio.Identify potential issues and make timely decisions.Ensure proper document control and record-keeping.Ensure accurate job costing.Keep assigned projects on schedule and within budget while meeting clients' needs and delivering quality work.Customer Relationship ManagementAct as an on-site customer advocate.
Understand each customer's unique needs, recommend solutions, and advocate for them on the job site.Clearly communicate and document customers' needs and expectations in a written proposal.Follow up with prospective customers promptly and professionally by phone or email.Visit current projects to ensure customer satisfaction and perform follow-up after job completion to ensure continued satisfaction.Qualifications
Successful candidates must be able to perform each essential duty with passion and accountability. Ideal candidates will reside locally or within reasonable proximity to the franchise territories. The knowledge, skill and / or abilities required to be a reliable contributor are :
Minimum of 3 years successful experience in Home Improvement or Service-based industry.Demonstrated work history as a team leader.Demonstrated work history depicting lead generation, sales closure rate, and a sales book of business.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, partners, and clients.Ability to learn and work independently in a fast-paced self-motivated environment.Superb time management, prioritization and organizational skills.Detail oriented, dependable, and reliable.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in use of a Laptop / Tablet, smartphone and collaborative office software programs such as Google Mail / Calendar / Sheets / Drive.Other Qualifications
