Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes on various surfaces. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring that all work meets our standards of excellence. This role requires a combination of technical skills and creativity, as well as the ability to work effectively in a construction site environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and cleaning as necessary.
- Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and brushwork.
- Renovate and restore surfaces to ensure they are ready for finishing.
- Utilize basic math skills to measure areas accurately for paint application.
- Perform caulking and fixture installation as part of the painting process.
- Collaborate with other trades such as trim carpentry, masonry, and stucco workers to complete projects efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site to ensure safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in painting, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety practices.
- Skills in trim carpentry, masonry, stucco application, or related fields are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during projects.
