Painting Pathways Clubhouse (PPC) is a non-profit mental health organization that offers support and services to individuals within our community. The mission of Painting Pathways Clubhouse is to empower individuals with mental health concerns by supporting recovery, building community and providing hope. Members receive psycho-social, pre-vocational, recreational, and educational support services. The work that is completed at PPC is focused on the operation and enhancement of the PPC community and the community of Manitowoc County. The work is designed to help members develop skills, self-awareness and supportive relationships to assist them in their own recovery process.
Job Summary
The Mental Health Marketing and Fundraising Specialist reports directly to the PPC Executive Director. The Mental Health Marketing and Fundraising Specialist is responsible for maintaining and being creative with new fundraising opportunities and empowering members to be involved in the events. Specifically, creating, developing and sustaining programming opportunities related to events that we have annually as well as other events within the community. The position supports staff and members by maintaining a recovery-oriented, strength focused program by modeling, training and following up. The Mental Health Marketing and Fundraising Specialist will provide assistance with all components including program development, data entry and reporting, marketing and outreach, intake support, and completing a quarterly newsletter. The Mental Health Marketing and Fundraising Specialist will help perform some of the administrative responsibilities of PPC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically, patiently and flexibly work side by side with members, staff and interns to successfully achieve annual fundraising goals.
- Work cooperatively and congenially with program and agency colleagues to complete all assigned work tasks.
- Treat members, staff and volunteers with dignity and respect at all times.
- Present in a positive, professional manner during the workday and at all work functions.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in meetings as scheduled.
- Present appropriate time management skills.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the executive director.
- Foster an atmosphere of belief in all members' abilities to work and recover.
- Lead in the development of programming in the fundraising and creative wellness components of PPC.
- Champion and support members as they pursue employment, education, wellness, and social goals.
- Take time to learn about each individual meeting them where they are at.
- Have a background or understanding of mental health, willingness to learn.
- Attend clubhouse social and recreational programs. Be available to work occasional weekend, evening or holiday hours.
Administrative Functions
- Assist the PPC Executive Director with marketing.
- Assist the PPC Executive Director and coworkers in completing the quarterly newsletter.
- Assist the PPC Executive Director with fund development, partnership development, grant writing and report writing.
- Assist in the coordination of clubhouse social/recreational and wellness activities, workshops, training, meetings and events including working some nights, weekends and holidays.
- Assist the PPC Executive Director with Network for Good and data entry.
- Develop professional informational data to send to donors, staff and members.
Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement: Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree (unless extensive documented experience in related field)
- Internship- must be senior of high school
- Must be 18 years of age
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Complete a criminal background check
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of mental health, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, person-centered care or other models
- Experience working in a team setting
- Ability to share compassion for individuals and to empower success
- Writing and public speaking skills
- Ability to facilitate groups and manage group activities
- Self motivated to achieve goals.
- Use of computer programming such as office space, fundraising platforms
- Open to learning and taking on additional duties.
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
