Supervisory Duties:
- Assist with the daily supervision of the operations and any other assigned departments
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
- Inspire team members by creating a positive and energetic atmosphere where safety and guest satisfaction are top priorities
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all team members and lifeguarding positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Assist with onboarding and training team members on how to safely and successfully perform their jobs
- Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Wisconsin law
- Ensure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each day
- Assist with scheduling all departmental team members to ensure adequate staffing levels are achieved to support daily operation.
- Assist with timekeeping for all assigned hourly team members
Departmental Duties:
- Welcome guests with a smile and positive attitude!
- Delight customers by providing exceptional customer service to answer their questions or resolve complaints
- Monitor aquatics areas and ensure that guests are complying with park rules and policies
- Provides direct support to other rides team members through making rounds throughout the park to check on their needs
- Fill and empty locker kiosks each morning and evening
- Provide locker coupons to gift shops and rentals for locker sales
- Respond to lost and found calls and deliver valuables to designated spot in park
- Assist guests with any cash to card issues throughout park
- Respond to guest concern calls including lockers, safety, theft, etc.
- Assist with directing traffic and crowd control
- Assist Park Services in keeping the park clean and presentable
- Monitor, fill and keep accurate inventory of all soda machines
- Perform light maintenance of hanging signage throughout park
- Responsible for opening park gates in the morning and doing final sweep of the park at day end to ensure all guests have left the property
- Maintain vigilance and proactively identify potential hazards; inform operations leadership of any such situations in a timely manner
- Assist with completing Manager on Duty (MOD) checklists each day
- Perform routine audits and inspections of all park operations
- Assist in other departments as needed
- All other duties assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
- No education requirements for this position
- 1 years of previous work experience in the Rides or Aquatics departments is required. Previous ride operation experience from other Amusement/Theme Park employers will also be considered.
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to comply with all uniform policies
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Must possess a safety-oriented mindset and be fully committed to enforcing all DOSH, Ellis, and all other regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and successfully lead a large number of team members
- Must be able to speak with guests directly when other operations leadership is not available
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a fast-paced team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
- Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer
- Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
- Ability to aid and physically move guests of varying heights and weights
- Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
- Ability to climb or descend stairs for some of the rides and attractions
Working Conditions:
- This role will predominantly be based outdoors in the park environment
- Frequent exposure to water of varying depths and pool chemicals
- Constant exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditions
- Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments
