Role Description
The Production Technician will play a hands-on role in assembling, testing, and maintaining
Paladin's products' electrical and mechanical components. This role involves soldering, wiring,
mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure our drones and related
systems meet high-performance standards. The technician will work closely with the production
and engineering teams to support manufacturing processes, test systems and resolve any
production issues.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically skilled individual with experience in
electrical and mechanical assembly who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electrical and mechanical components, ensuring adherence to design
specifications.
- Perform soldering and wiring of electronic components, connectors, and circuit boards.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, identifying and resolving
issues.
- Execute production procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in
assembly.
- Inspect components and completed products for defects and compliance with quality
standards.
- Support production line optimization by identifying and implementing process
improvements.
- Work with engineers to provide feedback on design and manufacturing challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist with inventory management to ensure necessary parts and materials are
available.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a hands-on production, manufacturing, or assembly role
involving electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in soldering, wiring, and working with circuit boards (IPC certification is a
plus).
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment for assembly and
troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems (preferred but not required).
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting production deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-tech or aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and regulatory standards for electrical and
mechanical systems.
- Associate degree or certification in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
(preferred but not required).
