POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible to lead team in the delivery of direct services in a way that maximizes effectiveness, supports a positive culture, focuses on accountability, and ensures full compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations, rules and policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude, while establishing a positive culture for all employees within the program.
- Discover and implement ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people.
- Ensure the home and programming locations are safe, clean, and are comfortable so each individual feels like it is their home; ensuring that the schedule in the home promotes each person participating in activities which emphasize increasing participation in their local community.
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies, and maintain appropriate timely documentation.
- Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skills, experiences, and professional development needs of all staff.
- Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all sites to ensure consistently high quality performance for all employees.
- Provide input, guidance, and accountability to direct reports through individual and group meetings as well as visiting the residential program areas.
- Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organizational performance standards.
- Ensures all management staff are addressing employee issues consistently.
- Ensure that all incident reporting is occurring timely and that corrective action is being implemented appropriately.
- Maintain and foster relations with individuals receiving services, as well as their families, guardians, advocates and natural supports.
- Recruit, hire and ensure full and appropriate training/orientation of all staff members.
- Engage in all activities, events, meetings, etc as normally expected or assigned of a senior staff member.
- Coordinates and ensures completion/compliance of all aspects of day-to-day operations.
- Actively participate on Paladins management team, and demonstrate a commitment to building, cooperation and collaboration among programs, departments, leadership and staff.
- Provide periodic reports to the President and CEO regarding programs productivity and progress, ensuring that all staff resources are used effectively to promote an efficient delivery system and report any problems or incidents as they arise.
- Facilitate program service meetings and arrange for/facilitate in-service trainings for staff.
- Ensure that supervisors provide the highest degree of professionalism, autonomy, quality of service and collaboration between staff.
- Supervises assigned staff positions.
- Conducts performance evaluations for assigned staff and enforces agency policies and procedures.
- Responsible for making sure that all required program staff training is completed based on all applicable standards, guidelines and agency requirements by approved trainers.
- Follow all agency policies and procedures regarding the use and release of confidential information and confidential PHI (protected health information).
- Complies with Paladins human resource/fiscal/corporate policies, Employee Handbook, county, state and federal laws and regulations as they relate to corporate interests and program services.
- Shall perform any other duties or functions as assigned which may involve areas not directly related to any of the above and may be in areas not normally assigned to this position.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May assist with annual consumer satisfaction surveys, exit/discharge procedures, and follow-up surveys with consumers to be sure that they are being served adequately by their assigned case manager.
- May function as case manager if required.
- May be required to drive clients.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Non-profit business acumen with strategic abilities.
- Good public relations and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to independently organize time and duties to conduct the daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities of caseload management.
- Ability to synthesize data in client records to develop and implement appropriate and relevant rehabilitation plans and work adjustment training techniques.
- Knowledge of specific disabilities and the impact functional limitations present in a vocational setting.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Staff personal contact to coordinate and monitor job performance, establish priorities, and coordinate services and outcomes.
- Other Agency Staff periodic personal contact to coordinate and follow-up on program plan implementation.
- Community Agencies & Families periodic telephone and personal contact to coordinate services, resolve issues, and obtain information, etc.
- Supervisor personal contact as needed to plan, monitor, and evaluate service delivery and communicate need for assistance.
- Clients periodic contact at case conferences to facilitate service delivery issues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting to write records and in meetings.
- Standing to assist with problems and/or client training on the work floor, as needed.
- Speaking, hearing, visual ability to communicate.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
- Basic computer skills
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to analyze data, program related issues and needs to facilitate program planning and staff and program development.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in rehabilitation, social service or humanities, preferred.
- 1-2 years in social work or case management related experiences with people with disabilities or
other vocationally disadvantaged populations.
- Maybe required to intervene in crisis situations, to work cooperatively and effectively with staff
and others in a team situation.
- Ability to collect, analyze and present information regarding programming; to make decisions
relating to services provided to consumers.
- Ability to mediate concerns and problems with providers, clients, caregivers and staff in order to
resolve programming problems.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Required to change work and/or personal schedules to meet time requirements of case conferences, meetings, etc.
- Responsible for the safety of all staff and clients under his/her supervision.
