Business Office Manager Job Summary:
Responsible for all Facility accounts
payable, billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities and supervision
of billing and collections personnel. Responsible for achieving cash collection
and AR goals for the facility. Responsible for timekeeping and facility payroll
tasks, entering missed punches and ensuring accuracy prior to submission. Works with other department heads to
ensure compliance with all financial
regulatory and other requirements. Position may also manage accounts payable,
Administrative Assistants and/or receptionist’s roles within the facility.
Business Office Manager Major Duties and
Critical Tasks:
- Manages accounts payable, billing,
receivables, and collections, ensuring compliance and integrity of financial
data.
- Supervises business office operations and
personnel, maintaining accurate financial records, receipts, deposits, and
reports.
- Handles payor interactions, collections,
and ensures timely payment of claims.
- Manages census activities, month-end
close, and reporting for billing and invoicing.
- Oversees timekeeping, payroll
communication, and employee satisfaction related to time clock issues.
- Ensures safety, confidentiality,
regulatory compliance, and promotes a respectful, secure environment for
residents and staff.
- Fosters teamwork, cooperation, and
tactful communication, while promoting positive relations with residents,
families, and guests.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Required
Education and Experience:
- Basic Computer Competency
- Experience as a BOM or Medicaid Billing
Specialist
- Strong Attention to detail and work ethic
- Experience/ability to deal tactfully with
personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the
public.
- Prior Long Term Care Experience Required
