Swim Coach for Private Lessons

Palekana Swim LLC is a local family owned swim school dedicated to providing top-quality swimming lessons in a supportive and fun environment. As we grow, we are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to grow with our company. We are looking for a motivated Private Swimming Lesson Coach who is ready to take on new challenges and teach students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we are willing to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach swimming lessons for students of varying ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced swimmers. 2 students max per private lesson.
• Create customized lesson plans based on individual student needs and goals.
• Ensure safety in and around the pool at all times, following all safety guidelines.
• Offer constructive feedback and encouragement to students to help them improve.
• Communicate regularly with students or their parents about progress.
• Assist with pool set-up and maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming atmosphere at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a swimming instructor is preferred but not required.
• Certification in First Aid, and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
• Swimming instructor certification (WSI, YMCA, or similar certification preferred).
• Passion for swimming and teaching others.
• Ability to work with students of all ages, from children to adults.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm.
• Willingness to learn and grow with our company.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
• Background test required.
