Job Title: Age Group Assistant Coach (Part-Time)
Position Summary:
The Dolphins Swim Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Age Group Assistant Coach to work with swimmers of varying ages and skill levels. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about swimming and enjoys working with children and parents in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist in coaching swimmers of varying ages across different skill levels
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all swimmers
- Implement training programs developed by the head coach
- Provide feedback and guidance to swimmers during practice
- Ensure the safety of all swimmers during practice sessions
- Communicate effectively with parents and swimmers regarding progress and schedules
- Assist in organizing and managing swim meets and events
- Be willing to work weekends for swim meets
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of swimming techniques and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Outgoing personality with the ability to engage and motivate swimmers
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents and other coaches
- Capacity to work in a culturally diverse environment
- Must pass a background check
- Desire to learn and grow as a coach
- Must complete USA Swimming requirements for coaching certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in swim coaching (preferred but not required)
- Basic computer skills (preferred but not required)
Schedule:
- Part-time hours: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday-Friday (hours may vary)
- Availability to work weekends for swim meets
