Job Summary:
As a key member of the Palisades Tahoe Resort culinary team, the Sous Chef plays a critical role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the culinary team, managing food operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and develop the culinary team to ensure excellent service and food quality.
- Oversee menu production, inventory management, and food preparation to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and sanitation regulations.
- Plan and execute events for internal and external guests, including catering services.
- Train kitchen personnel on food production principles and practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
- High School Diploma or GED required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain a current CA Food Handler's Manager Card.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
