Palladian Management Customer Accounts office in O’Fallon, IL is looking for an experienced Long Term Care Billing Specialist to join our amazing team! This position requires an individual who is dependable, self-sufficient, and can easily multi-task. The Billing Specialist is responsible for receivables for a group of skilled nursing communities. We are seeking a candidate with Medicare, Insurance, Managed Care, IL Medicaid, MO Medicaid, and Private Pay billing experience. Experience with Matrix Care highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Medicare, Insurance, Managed Care, MO and IL Medicaid, and Private Pay billing.
- Review unpaid claims and research reasons for delays.
- Submission of corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals as necessary.
- Work closely with insurance companies and provider representatives to get proper payment.
- Work with facilities and state agencies to follow up on Medicaid applications and billing issues.
- Communicate payment or denials that impact revenue to leadership.
- Review outstanding accounts and aging reports.
- Phone contact with residents and family members regarding out-of-pocket expenses and to resolve billing questions.
- Train Business Office Managers of assigned facilities.
- Partner with collections specialists to ensure timely collection of private pay accounts.
- Track and review applicable paperwork due from facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with Illinois and Missouri Medicaid is required.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility business office or billing office required.
- Advanced understanding of Excel and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong follow-through skills.
- Excellent customer service phone skills.
- Desire to succeed and to help others succeed.
