Location: Syosset, NY
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Cover all aspects of accounting, including, but not limited to:
- Maintain QuickBooks general Ledgers for all properties and subsidiaries.
- Review all Accounts Payable, including invoices & expenses – cut all checks related to such expenses.
- Review all tenants Accounts Receivable. Make deposits & update supporting schedules.
- Maintain assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monthly review of corporate credit card expenditures
- Conversion and upkeep of paperless filing systems
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of commercial leases
- Knowledge of QuickBooks desktop
- Familiarity with Leasing software such as Re-Leased, MRI, or Yardi
- Advanced Excel skills required, high level of proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, both written and oral
- Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere.
- Industry knowledge a plus
