What are the responsibilities and job description for the FRS - SVC/MNT - MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II position at Palm Beach County?
Responsible for the safe operation of motor-driven, earth-moving equipment such as loaders, tractors, graders, forklifts, bobcats, large tandem axle trailers and water tankers for maintenance of the equestrian center; provides general maintenance including removal of manure and refuse; carries out related assignments. Performs tasks near and around a large number of animals.
Qualifications
Minimum of six (6) months of experience in the operation of large mobile or construction equipment.
Necessary Special Requirements: Valid FL Class B CDL with Air Brakes at time of hire. Tanker Endorsement within 90 days of hire.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Working on a horse farm or a livestock facility; operating agriculture equipment (must specify equipment used on application); maintaining equestrian/golf/athletic competition surfaces. Also desirable: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification.
