What are the responsibilities and job description for the MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III position at Palm Beach County?
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tandem axle dump trucks to haul materials. Transports heavy equipment using double/triple axel trailers. Performs renovation and construction of athletic fields. Operates front-end loaders, skid steer loaders, tractors with various attachments, laser graders and sod cutters; performs additional related manual work as required. May lead a small crew.
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operating heavy-duty earth-moving equipment.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Construction/maintenance of athletic fields; operating a roto-tiller/aerator/laser grader; operating a tractor/front-end loader/skid loader; operating a roller/top dresser/sod cutter/cone/plane laser grader; leading a small crew/directing the work of others. Also desirable: Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Program Certification; possession of a valid FL Class A CDL with Air Brakes Endorsement.

Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
