What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESCUE COORDINATOR (FRS-Tech) position at Palm Beach County?
Coordinates the foster/rescue program for shelter animals; follows through to increase quick live release. Monitors the physical condition of all animals in the shelter. Liaises between other sections, vendors, private veterinary offices, and other shelters/rescue agencies. Maintains a safe work environment; ensures work is on schedule. Prepares and delivers comprehensive reports verbally and/or in writing; maintains accurate records. Assists with volunteer program projects as needed. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships. Work involves some animal handling.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months experience in the care and handling of animals in a personal or work capacity.
PREFERENCE FOR: Proficiency using technologies such as computers, phones, and email.

Will be required to complete a "Willingness to Work" Acknowledgement with application. Selected candidate must successfully complete pre-exposure rabies treatment/vaccination.
