Position Overview
The Music Teacher will design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music classes to students from Pre-Primary through Third grade (ages 2 – Grade 3). As part of the PBDA team, this teacher will focus on cultivating students’ musical skills, creativity, and appreciation through a variety of experiences such as singing, movement, instrument play, and performance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach music classes that align with students’ developmental stages and abilities.
- Introduce students to basic music concepts, rhythm, melody, and expression.
- Provide opportunities for students to explore instruments and vocal techniques.
- Coordinate and lead music performances or showcases as part of school events
- Lead the Lower School Chorus , including planning rehearsals, selecting repertoire, and organizing performances throughout the school year.
- Collaborate with classroom and special area teachers to support interdisciplinary learning.
- Foster a joyful, collaborative, and respectful classroom environment.
