Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and skill mix for optimal patient care.
- Oversee nursing administration, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures that meet regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and other relevant healthcare laws.
- Lead shift management activities, coordinating schedules to meet the needs of residents while maintaining staff well-being.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with staff, residents, and healthcare providers.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
- Monitor patient care practices to ensure adherence to established protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for residents.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Proven experience in nurse management or a similar leadership role within an assisted living or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Experience in nursing administration, including familiarity with regulatory compliance related to Medicare.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, residents, and families.
