Palm Village Retirement Community has been serving seniors and the community for over 80 years and sits on a 17 acre campus on the southwest edge of Reedley across from the Kings River. We are a tax exempt non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). Our programs and care levels are designed to meet individual needs and encourage an active and friendly community for seniors.
Palm Village’s five levels of care include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Assisted Living Memory Care and Skilled Memory Care. Our primary goal is to ensure comfort, security, social support, proper healthcare, and promote independence.

The purpose of the Activity Coordinator role is to develop, coordinate and implement a varied range of activities that address residents’ social, cognitive and recreational needs. This includes:
- Organizing fellowship and worship opportunities
- Planning social activities and excursions
- Designing cognitive-enhancing programs and activities
- Encouraging community participation
- Supporting residents’ adjustments to life in Independent and Residential Care
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma with some college, or related training preferred.
- 1-year experience in planning, implementing and evaluating resident activities. 2 years preferred.
- Knowledgeable in evaluating resident needs, supervising other employees and training volunteers.
Other Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:
This position requires incumbent to have:
- Excellent English written and verbal language skills
- Excellent listening and response skills in communicating with staff, residents, family members, community resource staff, visitors, and the public.
- Must be able to project cheerfulness and enthusiasm throughout the community.
- Ability to operate computer software
