Palmer Candy is looking for an Office Clerk at our Hwy 75 facility.
Hours will be Monday-Friday 8 : 00 am- 4 : 30 pm.
Job Title : Office Clerk (General)
Reports to : Accounting Manager
Job Summary :
Perform various duties in an office setting assisting customer service and accounting, both require knowledge of office systems and procedures. Clerical duties may include a combination of answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and takes messages
- Greets and assists walk-in traffic / company visitors
- Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters
- Assists with customer billing, order entry, and customer contacts
- Corresponds with all creditors and vendors regarding payment schedules, outstanding credits, and other finance-related inquiries
- Works with customers to resolve overdue balances and payment discrepancies through research, communication, and follow-up
- Communicates via phone and email with customers concerning status of invoice payments
- Reconciles processed payments through verification of entries and other supporting documents
- Maintains accuracy of historical data and records
- Handles accounting procedures accurately
- Works on special projects assigned by supervisor and / or management
- Provides support with audit and tax preparation
- Regular attendance
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
