What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estates/Trust Paralegal position at Palmer Legal Staffing?
A full-service business law firm in Annapolis seeks a full-time Paralegal for its Estates and Trust practice. This position works closely with attorneys and clients on complex estate and trust matters. The firm offers competitive benefits! The role is fully in-office.
Status: Direct Hire
Salary: $60-75K DOE ( eligible for annual bonus (based on performance and production)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive practice support and case management
- Organize and electronically file documents in various courts and jurisdictions
- Draft and finalize estate tax returns
- Draft and proofread correspondence, notices, documents and forms (ie. wills, POA, etc).
- Conduct research, as needed
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries and financial institutions
- Review bank statements and maintain accountings
- Notarize documents, as needed
Job Requirements:
- 2 years Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate experience (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred)
- Accounting experience (preferred)
- The ability to independently and efficiently prioritize workflow
- Superior organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GEMS and Lawgic
- Experience e-filing documents
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and client service skills
