Palmetto Corp is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Human Resources Administrative Assistant to support our HR Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the office and assisting the HR Department with the hiring process, scheduling new employee orientations, training and data entry. If you are a professional with a strong sense of discretion and a background in HR, we want to hear from you.
Position Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative work, including scheduling, maintaining files, sorting mail, and answering calls.
- Enter employment data into computer database.
- Assist in finding qualified employees.
- Facilitate the hiring process.
- Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training sessions.
- Assist with interviewing potential candidates.
- Contact references and perform background checks.
- Process all new hire paperwork.
- Enter employees into benefit administration programs.
- Ensure all state and federal laws and regulations are being followed in all employment practices.
- Ensure all FMCSA regulations are followed.
- Prepare New Hire Packets and Handbooks.
- Tracking and data entry of any employee reviews, disciplinary forms, coaching’s, etc.
