What are the responsibilities and job description for the VIP Hospitality Host position at Palms Casino Resort?
Core Job Responsibilities
- The Hospitality Host will provide VIP Service to all property guests, as well as potential guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Responsible for contacting leads, inquiries, and requests from other property departments. Host will assist these leads, inquiries, and requests through the introduction phase, then when they arrive to property, during their stay, and follow up with them after departing.
- Work with other Palms owned venues, as well as 3rd party venues to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.
- Continuing knowledge of all events and offerings on our property. Also keeping up a strong knowledge of events and offerings on competing properties and venues.
- Sell, promote, and advertise all property offerings to clients, potential clients, concierges, 3rd party groups
- Respond to and resolve guest complaints, exceed guest expectations, and provide other supporting services.
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of all offerings from our Nightlife and Entertainment Venues
- Knowledgeable of liquor and food offerings
- Minimum age requirement 21 years or older.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous Nightlife and or Entertainment experience in a fast-paced environment as a VIP Host or Promoter or similar.
- Possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor, manage multiple tasks and remain calm and produce expected results in a very high paced environment.
- Basic math skills are required. Must have knowledge and ability to perform proper Bottle service.
- Must obtain and maintain an Alcohol Awareness Card, Health Card, and Nevada Gaming License.
Physical Demands
- Work is performed in a Casino/Hotel setting.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- May be exposed to smoke
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
- Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
- Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Eye/hand coordination.
- Use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
