What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiscal Compliance Analyst position at Palms Medical Group?
The Fiscal Compliance Analyst will lead financial activities and analyze past financial performance to predict future performance in order to advise Palms Medical Group on its financial strategy. The Fiscal Compliance Analyst will have a strong understanding of fiscal policies and assist in ensuring PMG adheres to financial regulations, internal policies, monitoring compliance, analyzing data and preparing reports.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
a. Maintains and monitors accurate financial records of PMG for all funds and fund types including all phases of utility operations, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, general ledger, cash remittance and fixed assets.
b. Reviews present accounting procedures and policies, recommend changes or modifications to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations. Monitors segregation of duties for proper maintenance of internal control.
c. Organizes, coordinates and prepares the annual budget ensuring compliance.
- Gather and analyze data as needed to monitor and improve the current and future financial status of each branch/department.
- Reviews financial reporting , and investment activities; recommends improvements to procedural, operational, and financial controls.
f. Drafts operational and risk reports for management analysis.
g. Analyses business and financial data.
h. Creates financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
i. Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
j. Provides relevant financial information to the executive management team.
- Correspond with company executives, department staff, and other regulators to investigate issues identified, and evaluate whether additional regulatory actions are warranted. Organize, prepare, and write reports based on financial analysis and interpretation of data.
l. Monitor PMG compliance and initiate action in non-compliance situations.
m. Oversee grant compliance, reporting and draw schedules.
n. Reconcile bank statements.
o. Performs other related duties as assigned.

- At least five years of related work experience required.
- CPA certification is preferred, but not required.
