What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician (Anticipated) position at Palmyra Area School District?
- An Associate's degree is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- IT support experience in a school setting preferred.
- Experience with set-up and support of Apple IOS and OS X devices is preferred.
- Experience working in a MS Windows environment is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must display excellent customer service skills and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Must have the ability to prepare devices for classrooms and end-user usage, to troubleshoot both hardware and software problems, and to troubleshoot Audio-Video equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Must possess great attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, the ability to follow-up with customers, and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community.
- Proven ability to communicate concisely both in oral and written form.
- Must have the ability to use and maintain confidential information and have an awareness of all district requirements and policies.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.

- Employees will have a pension through the Pennsylvania School Employee Retirement System (PSERS.)

Job Overview:
The IT Technician I/II will work in collaboration with our IT team to prepare all new computing devices and other related technology. The IT Technician I/II will provide end-user support for all district hardware and software needs.
Qualifications:
Technician I Salary Range: $39,728.00 - $48,089.60
Technician II* Salary Range: $48,089.60 - $58,531.20
*To qualify for the IT Technician II position, the applicant must have at least two (2) years of applicable experience directly related to IT support.
