Job Description
This position reports to senior management and has responsibility for assisting with many facets of the business development, customer support and operations efforts.
This is a SALARIED position, not commission based. You will have access to an excellent benefits package, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and a 401K program.
This is an entry level business development/operations position. You will learn all facets of the logistics industry and you will be 100% supported by management in your development. Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities by contacting prospective customers via telephone and/or email
- Understand and communicate our company’s value proposition to potential customers
- Proactively manage customer relationships once established
- Learn and engage in Logistics operations in support of specific customers
- Manage projects to make sure that they get completed in a timely manner
Qualifications (Education/Training, Skills and Experience)
Education/Training:
- College Degree preferred, but we will consider a combination of education and experience
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successful candidates will have a relentless positive attitude
- Successful candidates must be highly motivated and have demonstrated the ability to produce results while working independently
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Above average desktop computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite
- A great phone personality combined with strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills
Experience
1-2 years, preferably with some phone experience but we will evaluate the right individual regardless of experience.
