About You: The successful candidate will be a high energy PRODUCER with the demonstrated ability to gain access to decision makers, communicate the value proposition, and close new business. The Sales Manager will be a member of the senior team with constant interaction with the President of the company.
- Prospect, sell and close new clients for a fast-paced, high-growth logistics / Transportation company that serves manufacturing and distribution clients.
- Be responsible for increasing revenue develop and manage a pipeline of qualified new business and existing opportunities using a consultative sales methodology to organically identify business leads, close sales and manage customer relationships.
- Possess a passion for the hunt! From prospecting to close, the candidate will tackle heavy cold calling, research and discovery, sales presentations and the close; working closely with the President of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect targeted leads
- Conduct prospect research and discovery
- Host virtual presentations
- Present face-to-face sales presentations
- Calculate accurate/appropriate proposals and submit same to prospective clients
- Create and manage business plan to maximize revenue opportunities
- Meet or exceed assigned, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue sales quota goals
- Set and manage expectations with new clients
- Participate in continuing education calls and/or meetings on products and services
- Keep up-to-date on logistics industry, market news and events
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of activities, appointments and opportunities using Sales CRM tools.
- Must learn and become fully knowledgeable on all company products and service solutions within the first 30 days
- Must be able to work well as a team player and independently
- Must strive to maintain and uphold all internal processes and procedures
- Must take own initiative to improve tasks and meet company goals
- Must work well under pressure
- Must be detail oriented, punctual and have a professional demeanor
- Travel required to meet face to face with new prospective customers
Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree, preferred
- A minimum of 5 years Logistics / Transportation sales experience is required.
- Strong working knowledge of transportation and logistics industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professional maturity and polish, able to interact effectively with all levels of management, both internally and with customers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
