Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Experience in a licensed center
- Bilingual (Spanish - preferred, but not required)
Assistant Guide Responsibilities:
- The work day is from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities Include:
- Assistant will help the lead guide prepare the environment, monitor students, support positive classroom behaviors, make copies, support student learning, care for materials/supplies, attend professional development, and complete other duties as requested.
- Assistant will support children to use the restroom independently by cleaning up accidents and coaching the children through adequate hygiene procedures (e.g., how to flush, how to wipe, how to wash hands, etc.).
- Assistant Teachers are responsible for supervising naps in the classroom, in addition to leading activities during After Care.
- Preparing and maintaining the physical environment to optimize student learning.
- Maintaining a positive, productive, and safe learning environment through effective classroom management strategies.
- Collaborating with other peers
