GOLF OPERATIONS INTERN - for 2025 Season

Our PGA staff will mentor you as you apply what you've learned in your Golf Course Management program and rack up valuable resort & private club experience at a world-class golf establishment.
During your season at Destination GN, you will execute point of sale and tee time operations, merchandising, outside operations (player services, golf cart fleet setup), tournament/outing setup, member relations and services, Simulator Studio setup, and assist with junior golf clinics while providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. On-property housing is available on a first-sign, first-served basis with preference given to six-month interns.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have high school diploma or GED
One or more years in a two- or four-year college program, preferably majoring in Golf Course Management (PGM or GEM major)
Basic computer understanding, usage and reboot knowledge
Knowledge of the game of golf is preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Offer friendly and professional customer service to all resort patrons, members and guests.
Use the point-of-sale system to: check in golfers, sell merchandise and make/check tee times.
Assist in ensuring guest check-in/ fee collection in coordination with pros and starters.
Assist in outing/tournament setup
Assist when needed with the operation of outside services (player services, starters, player assistants)
Assist with inventory control: accepting of new inventory, displays and end-of-month counts
Coordinate with Stay & Play managers on overnight guests regarding their tee times
Communicate with starters and player assistants to ensure exceptional guest/member experiences and place of play
Provide resolution skills and tactics for issues that arise to appease guests/members
Conduct oneself in professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times as a representative of Geneva National
Be aware of course availability and scheduling, as well as promoting GN events and restaurants to members and the public
Perform any duties assigned by Resort Head Professional
Uphold the company policies and procedures when dealing with customers and members
