POSITION SUMMARY
The main responsibilities include (1) perform cleaning duties to maintain Palomar Christian Conference Center in a clean and orderly manner in accordance to the cleaning SOP, (2) facilitate activities in a safe an enjoyable way according to the activity SOP, (3) maintain basic knowledge of sound equipment and sound systems to be able to help guest, (4) work independently on days when alone and on call, (5) Maintain a positive attitude and be ready to serve whenever guests and staff need anything.
Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, and vacuuming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· The employee must accept the lodging from PCCC as a condition of employment in order to carry out responsibilities as outlined in the fire evacuation plan. The employee would not be able to perform this service without the lodging. (It is for the convenience of the employer).
· Must take part in the fire evacuation plan for the specific area assigned.
(1) Perform cleaning duties to maintain Palomar Christian Conference Center in a clean and orderly manner in accordance to the cleaning SOP.
a. Clean dorms, bathrooms, and meeting rooms so that health standards are met.
b. Clean offices, Laundry rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
c. Keep storage areas well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
d. Cycle and fold laundry including towels, linens, blankets, and tablecloths.
e. Notify Accommodations Manager of needed repairs or safety issues in guest housing, meeting rooms, and work areas.
f. Maintain an inventory of supplies; notifying the Accommodations Manager of any items that need to be ordered.
(2) Facilitate activities in a safe an enjoyable way according to the activity SOP.
a. Facilitate Archery, Zipline, Paintball, and Low Ropes according to the Opening, Operation, and Closing sections of the activity’s SOPs
b. Be willing to Train and test as a Range Safety Officer for the Gun Range and if certified facilitate according to the Opening, Operation, and Closing sections of the Gun Range SOP.
c. Be willing to Train and test as a Lifeguard for the Pool and if certified facilitate according to the Opening, Operation, and Closing sections of the Pool SOP.
d. Know and understand all activity SOPs that you can operate.
e. Be willing to help clean and repair Arrows, Bows, Rifles, Shotguns, and Paintball Markers.
f. Responsible to accept money for activities and give accurate change.
g. Responsible to record earnings and give money bag to HR or drop into safe at the end of the activity shift.
h. Be willing to learn and work with pool chemicals for pool maintenance according to health standards.
i. Help to maintain the condition of activities and report any damage or safety concerns to the Accommodations Manager.
(3) Maintain basic knowledge of sound equipment and sound systems to be able to help guests.
a. Learn about different pieces of equipment, how they work, and know how to connect this equipment for the desired result.
b. Know the basics on how to work a sound board and be able to troubleshoot and solve sound problems.
c. Learn how to properly store sound equipment and help keep a clean sound equipment closet.
(4) Work independently on days when alone and on call.
a. Stay motivated when working alone.
b. Seek to find things to do if no list is provided.
(5) Maintain a positive attitude and be ready to serve whenever guests and staff need anything.
a. Ensure that the guest’s needs are met at all times
b. Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with guests and staff.
c. Take part in cultivating a positive camp staff culture and if anything.
d. Have the heart and willingness to serve and help other departments as directed by the Accommodations Manager or Accommodations Coordinator during a shift
(6) Miscellaneous
a. Help people with any emergency needs and effectively communicate when help is needed
· Keep regular, timely attendance while maintaining a clean, safe, and unobstructed workplace. *

Requirements
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Demonstrates a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, exercising personal faith through consistent daily living in accordance to God’s Word.
· Understands the mission of Palomar Christian Conference Center and is in agreement with its Statement of Faith, and submits all other goals and desires to that main goal.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Interpersonal skills such as are required to maintain positive relations with both staff and guests.
· Excellent customer service skills and presents a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Strong attention to detail and organization while managing multiple priorities.
· First Aid and CPR certified (will provide training).
· Ability to introduce or lead campers to Jesus Christ as Savior.
· Enjoys and relates well with others, exhibiting patience and a strong Christian witness.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
· Must be able to stand for a minimum of 2 hours.
· Able to climb, squat, bend at the waist, grip and perform repetitive hand motions.
