PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
PALS, LLC is committed to supporting adults with developmental disabilities to become self-sufficient by promoting independent living skills that empower consumers to achieve a more independent- adult lifestyle in their choice of residence and community.
Our Program provides services to adults with developmental disabilities that offer functional skills training necessary to secure a self-sustaining, independent living situation in the community and/or may provide support necessary to maintain those skills. Individuals typically live alone or with roommates in their own homes or apartments.
Independent Living Services will include training and support in the following areas: cooking, cleaning, meal preparation, menu planning, personal health and hygiene, self-advocacy training, post high school education, career goals, physical/mental/dental health, personal finances, generic services and mobility training. PALS, LLC understands that the core of a good service provider is tailor-fitting services to the needs of individual.

Position Title: Direct Support Staff Agency: PALS LLC. Starting Rate: $18 Per Hour
Reporting Supervisor: Case Manager
Positions Supervised: N/A
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Our Direct Support Staff will work with our clients and assist them with the goals to live successfully on their own. These areas include, but are not limited to, money management, personal hygiene, household and shopping management, establishing community contacts, social recreation and the building of relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The direct care staff shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
1. Education and experience required in the job description; and
2. The ability to perform the functions required in the program design.
3. Valid State of California driver’s license.
4. Automobile insurance.
5. Recent DMV print out with good driving record.
6. Reliable and safe vehicle.
7. Ability to lift 35 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
