Garage Door Technician/Installer

Job Description:

Door-Mart Garage Doors is seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Technician to join our team. As a Garage Door Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage doors and openers. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors, openers, and associated components.
• Diagnose issues and provide effective solutions for malfunctioning garage doors and systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a garage door technician or in a related mechanical field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
