Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dog Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for dogs in a safe and nurturing environment. Duties
- Supervise and care for dogs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Feed, and provide fresh water to dogs according to their specific dietary needs.
- Administer medications as directed by pet owners or veterinarians.
- Engage dogs in playtime activities, walks, and exercise routines to promote physical health.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dog care area, including kennels, play areas, and feeding stations.
- Monitor the behavior and health of each dog, reporting any concerns to management promptly.
- Provide basic training and socialization for dogs as needed.
- Assist with pet sitting duties when required, ensuring continuity of care for pets in their home environment.
Skills
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Dog Handling techniques to ensure safe interactions with various breeds.
- Background in Dog Training or Pet Grooming is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Pet Care practices and Animal Care principles.
- Ability to recognize signs of distress or illness in animals and respond appropriately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals, demonstrating patience and understanding in all situations.
