We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and supervision of dogs in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness. This position is ideal for individuals who love animals and have experience in dog handling or pet care. Your ability to provide excellent customer service will also play a key role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure a safe and fun environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs in the daycare, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Assist with feeding schedules and ensure all dietary needs are met for each dog.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any incidents that may occur.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary technician is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Familiarity with pet sitting responsibilities and routines is beneficial.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
