Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm

Job Summary :

The Machine Shop Coordinator schedules and coordinates flow of daily operations in the shop. Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities, and assign projects to staff to ensure expectations are met. The individual must be willing to assist staff with workload when necessary to make certain priorities are met. The Coordinator to assist management with employee onboarding, reviews and setting goals.

Essential Duties :

Schedule and coordinate flow of work within or between work groups or departments

Work to improve production efficiency to expedite production

Establish priorities for staff

Exceptional purchasing and inventory management skills

Strong interpersonal skills, working with suppliers, various department managers, accounting, and vendors

Assist with the onboarding of new staff, setting goals and conduct reviews

Work independently or with little supervision

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements :

• To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications

Requirements - Required and / or Preferred

Education :

Essential Qualifications :

Must have a strong mechanical background

Strong mathematical skills in Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry

Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Strong skills in machine installation, setup, and repairs, including electrical and preventative maintenance

Ability to work independently and must have an aptitude for spatial reasoning

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Maintain a safe and organized work area in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications :

4 years of experience working in the maintenance field

4 years of experience of prior machine shop experience

Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel), Auto-cad, and SolidWorks
