Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machine Shop Operator to join our growing team. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC machines (Haas Mills and Lathes), performing safety inspections, and assisting with general machine shop operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (Haas Mills and Lathes)
- Read, understand, and write/edit programs using M Code and G Code
- Perform safety inspections on machines
- Create parts and machine plates according to DIS specifications
- Track and complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with equipment preparation, material handling, and machine maintenance
- Support other team members and fill in where needed
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of machine shop or similar experience required
- Proficiency with M Code, G Code, and CNC machines (Haas preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical coursework or certifications preferred
- Comfortable using overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks
- Experience with blueprint reading and precision measurement tools
- Basic understanding of production equipment and assembly processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Reliable with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, stooping, and repetitive motion
- Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Frequent exposure to variable temperatures, dust, fumes, and loud noise
- Regular interaction with heavy machinery and overhead loads
