Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. The Solar Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that solar installations are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install solar panels and associated equipment according to specifications and schematics.
- Conduct electrical work related to solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Perform high voltage connections and fixture installations as required.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation tasks, ensuring proper safety measures are followed.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems and components.
- Use voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues with solar energy systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns regarding their solar installations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage applications, is essential.
- Familiarity with reading schematics, blueprints, and technical documents related to electrical installations.
- Experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters is required.
- Previous experience in commercial electrician roles is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.05 - $28.90 per hour
