We are seeking a driven and highly skilled computational biology professional to join a dynamic, fast-paced biotech team. This role will involve working alongside bioinformaticians and data scientists to identify key features within mRNA sequences, contributing to the development of cutting-edge therapeutics. Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize computational biology algorithms and statistical approaches to validate and assess hypotheses.
- Design and implement robust pipelines for analyzing large-scale omics datasets.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external collaborators, to align research and development initiatives.
- Present research findings to internal stakeholders and at scientific conferences.
- Contribute to intellectual property filings and assist in manuscript writing.
- Leverage network biology approaches to pinpoint innovative therapeutic targets for experimental teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the biopharma industry (for Senior Scientist level).
- Strong proficiency in AI and machine learning techniques, including working with large language models (LLMs).
- Experience with high-throughput sequencing technologies (NGS), genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
- Familiarity with RNA folding and specialized data analyses such as SHAPE-seq.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, Perl, or C/C .
- Solid understanding of optimization algorithms, including gradient descent, A-star, and genetic algorithms.
- Enthusiastic about learning and applying new computational methods.
- Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
