Summary of Job Description :
The Manager, Lease Accounting is responsible for reviewing all rent processes and transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness. This position oversees the tracking and reconciliation of all lease-related expenses. The Manager, Lease Accounting leads a team comprised of professional and support staff, coaching and developing associates to elevate their performance.
You’ll get a chance to :
- Oversee accounting activities related to company lease arrangements, including minimum rent, percentage rent, and CAM charges.
- Ensure balance sheet account reconciliations for all lease-related accounting.
- Oversee preparation of periodic journal entries to properly record activity and accruals.
- Assist Finance in preparation of AOP for all rent-related expenses.
- Assist with the review and approval of monthly / annual sales reports for landlords.
- Ensure sales reports are prepared and distributed per lease agreements.
- Manage and develop a team comprised of professional and support staff.
- Responsible for hiring and retaining staff.
- Develop and elevate associate performance to support the company’s growth strategies.
- Provide customer service to landlords, responding to their requests.
- Act as the point of contact for all lease-related audits and assists auditors in landlord audits.
- Oversee or participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives related to lease accounting as assigned.

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts / difficult situations.
