Payroll Clerk/HR Assistant

Position: Payroll Clerk/HR Assistant Location: Panel Processing, Inc., Alpena, MI

Department: Human Resources Reports to: Human Resource Manager

The payroll Clerk is a full-time position and is responsible for compiling and recording employee time and payroll data.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll.
• Process benefit and non-benefit deductions.
• Prepare payroll tax quarterly returns and annual employee W2’s.
• Perform self-review of all work before submitting for review.
• Ability to manage financial and other personal information in a confidential manner.
• Maintaining employee files.
• Assist with various Human Resources functions as needed.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Must hold a high degree of integrity and great judgement.
• Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Associates degree or higher (in related field) preferred.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office.
• Experience with ADP software is helpful.
• Background in payroll administration preferred.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
