Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial data
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records
- Review and analyze trial balances for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all expenses are properly classified and coded to the appropriate projects
- Track and manage project costs throughout the development lifecycle
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for ongoing and upcoming projects
- Analyze variance reports to monitor project financial performance
- Coordinate with project managers and executives to provide financial insights
- Work closely with banks and financial institutions on project-related transactions
- Monitor and support loan draw requests and capital funding activities
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with year-end audits and provide necessary documentation
What You Need to Succeed:
- 2 years of experience in public accounting or industry experience
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Real Estate experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools; Yardi software experience preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
