Facilities Manager Job Description
Primary responsibilities are to manage tenant fit-out projects, office furniture coordination including decommissioning, new office furniture and coordination with architects and construction companies performing the work.
Facilities Manager (Office Furniture & Construction Projects)
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee office furniture projects, decommissioning processes, and construction-related facility operations. This role requires strategic coordination of physical assets while ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Furniture Management
Plan and work on tenant fit-out projects with office furniture dealerships for new products and for reconfigurations and for space optimization projects.
Coordinate moves/adds/changes (MAC) to support evolving workspace needs.
Decommissioning Leadership
Manage full-cycle office decommissioning including working with office furniture companies and moving companies to do the work of asset liquidation, recycling, and sustainable disposal.
Construction & Facilities Operations
Manage contractor relationships for construction projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management/Engineering/Business Administration and/or 5 years of experience managing corporate or institutional facilities with furniture and construction components.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or space utilization tools.
Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated success in managing decommissioning programs.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
