What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bike Park Trail Crew Supervisor (Summer) position at Panorama Mountain Resort?
Description:
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for our guests that are utilizing downhill, X-country, and hiking trails. This will be achieved through design, construction of new trails and facilities, and the maintenance of existing trails and new trails. Understand the needs of the customer to determine what the requirements are of the various skill levels to offer a balanced trail assortment. Through design, construction, and maintenance we will be able to offer a smooth flowing trail system that will create a memorable experience for our guests. It will also be necessary to focus on safety for our guests and employees while at the job or at play.
Essential Functions:
Design and layout of trails
Construction of trails following defined schedule
Operate and maintain equipment including: Chain saw, various hand tools, truck, all-terrain vehicles, small excavator, bob cat
Ensure that all employees are trained in the use of the various tools and equipment.
Maintain all tools and equipment in a safe working condition.
Complete all training as required.
Ensure adequate employee coverage on all days of operation.
Support and assist with on mountain events.
Be familiar with all Panorama policy and procedures.
Able to interact with guests and staff.
Work within an approved budget
Any other duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements:
Previous supervisory experience in a recreational setting an asset.
Previous mountain bike trail building experience, in design, layout and construction
Must have working experience and certification in use of chain saw.
Related industry experience in a similar role
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must have excellent physical fitness.
First aid certification is an asset.
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must have strong mountain bike riding skills.
Salary : $20 - $25
