What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slopes Equipment Operator (Summer) position at Panorama Mountain Resort?
Description:
Reporting to the Slopes Manager, the Slopes Equipment Operator is responsible for on-hill slope and vegetation management. This includes but is not limited to operation of AEBI mower and excavator.
Essential Functions:
Operate AEBI terrain tractor with mower attachment on a variety of slope angles in a safe and efficient manner
Inspect and document daily checks
Perform minor equipment maintenance
Execute tasks in accordance to summer slopes plan
Assist summer Trail Crew and Snowmaking Maintenance departments with tasks when required
Seek and identify terrain modifications required to enhance mowing program and grooming program
Flexibility on schedule to accommodate for changing conditions
Experience/Requirements:
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Machinery and mechanical knowledge is an asset
Previous summer slope grooming experiences an asset
Previous winter slope grooming experience and understanding of fall lines
Able to perform in severe and inclement conditions for sustained periods of time
Must be able to lift 60lbs
Must be physically fit
Salary : $21 - $24
