The Central Enrollment Coordinator (CEC) will facilitate enrollment pre-screening calls to potential Research participants nationally when new or enrolling studies require additional enrollment support. Enrollment coordination calls include: a) speaking with potentially eligible research participants to inquire about study interest, b) active study patients who need to be reminded of research visits or study specifics, c) administering study specific surveys, and d) scheduling upcoming study visits. The Central Enrollment Coordinator works under the direction and delegation of the Director of Research Operations.

Responsibilities Include
- Reviews, and screens patient lists for prioritization of pre-screening patient outreach as directed.
- Using a study specific script, the CEC calls potentially eligible patients to inquire about interest in becoming a research participant.
- Maintains timely, consistent, and professional written and verbal communication with all participants, site level clinical Research Coordinators, and Corporate level research staff. The CEC utilizes warm handovers,
- as indicated.
- Collaborates with practice-based care team to deliver research enrollment campaigns.
- Contacts patients who miss study visit appointments, are overdue for services and/or need follow-up care based on protocol specifics.
- Collects and updates elements of the patient’s past medical, surgical, social, and family history.
- Ensures documentation of depression screening and patient activation measures.
- Utilizes standard documentation and communication tools, such as standard messaging, workflows, and templates, to ensure consistent and accurate communication and health record documentation.
- Acts as a patient advocate, liaison, and information resource; escalates all critical information.
- to the local Clinical Research Coordinator or Project Manager as appropriate in a timely manner.
- Provides culturally appropriate, structured education about research participation and study specifics,
- Answers inbound patient calls and utilizes warm handover for urgent requests. Manages and
- Responds to patients’ voicemails and messages.
- Adheres to established confidentiality, productivity, and quality standards.
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing information and performs other administrative tasks to
- support the team.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
- Performs outreach calls to patients requiring study visit travel or study specific assistance.
- Assists with identifying external vendors for research services in accordance with the protocol, i.e.: local lab, diagnostics, transportation services, etc.
- Administrative assistance as needed. Data entry into CTMS as needed.
- Supports quality assurance audits as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ customer service experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Prior healthcare experience
- Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems, Athena Net and/or Salesforce
- Prior telephonic customer service experience
