ACCEL Schools is seeking an experienced SIS (Student Information Systems) Administrator to support the national expansion of our K-12 virtual public charter schools by supporting and administering the Student Information Systems. The SIS Administrator should be a dynamic individual who is motivated by working with a fun and driven team to build a leading education company. The SIS Administrator is responsible for implementing and supporting the student information systems across enterprise schools (both Online and Brick & Mortar (approximately 100 schools )). The individual will detect, diagnose, report and correct student data in the Student information Systems (PowerSchool, Maestro, etc). This requires strong technical skills with data analysis (importing and exporting data), complex configurations and integrations both internally and externally. The individual will use sql to write enterprise reports to pull pertinent data for the state and school administrators.
As a Senior SIS Administrator you will support the following areas:
- Responsible for managing the SIS implementation of new schools/integrations coming into Accel while performing operational support for existing schools and integrations.
- Work closely with the Enrollment and development teams to identify complex mapping of data into the Student Information System and overall learning ecosystem.
- Understand state specific requirements to appropriately set up the systems for accurate state reporting/funding.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the PowerSchool and other SIS systems by:
- Working closely with school staff, administrators, and school operations to address system anomalies, accurate problem interpretation and timely resolution to minimize impact to the student learning experience.
- Perform routine maintenance and application updates on district servers.
- Coordinate with vendors on maintenance impacts and communicate out to schools and staff.
- Work with various departments and team members on projects, data requests, custom reports, grade calculations, transcripts, and graduation plans.
- Provide support for federal and state reporting data submissions and compliance reporting by setting up direct connect interfaces to the state as appropriate.
- Create and administer information exchange/training sessions (workshops, seminars, PD programs, individual or large group trainings) with school administrators and staff during the end of one school year and rollover to the next school year.
- Implement/Integrate tools that support CTE, Special Education and student graduation rates (Naviance, PSSP, Say Yes, Panorama, etc.).
- Create/ Update/Review documentation from the state(s), PowerSchool and Maestro to determine what validation rules should be written in the systems.
- Create test case sample data that can be used for demonstrations or testing new functionality or schools.
- Ensure schools remain up and available, reliable, consistent, and secure to support the mission and activities of the organization and schools.

About You:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Database Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems or Education
- Open to / will consider recent college grads interested in pursuing a technical path or education system career.
- 3 to 5 year of professional experience preferred.
- 3 to 5 year of SIS experience preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage daily activities and short/long-term projects under pressure with accuracy and responsiveness.
- Medium to high technical aptitude required with ability to learn new technical processes, functions, and backend reporting.
- Experienced in working in an education setting or similar environment strongly preferred.
- Proficient in verbal and written English with strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible work schedule - as needed to solve service issues even outside of normal working hours.
Plus Qualifications
- PowerSchool experience with knowledge of all aspects of PS including but not limited to:
- the creation, maintenance of custom pages, reports, plugins, integrations
- registration process, scheduling, grading
- APIs, PowerTools, PowerTeacher, GradeBook, Parent/Student Portal, storing grades.
- EOY procedures, school launch, report card setup and training and integration with other LMS (preferably Canvas) and 3rd party tools
- Experience in reporting data submissions for State for various departments as well as updating School IDs and the enroll statuses.
- Technical expertise in SIS, PowerSchool, SL (Structured Query Language), DBA, and Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel formulas) preferred.
- Experience in data collection of raw data files across multiple departments and multiple systems for data requests for data analyses
- Experience with Naviance (CTE Platform), PSSP or Samegoal (Sped platform setup and administration.

The annual starting salary for this position is 80,000-85,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Paid Time Off: The amount of Paid Time Off (PTO) employees accrue is determined by both their position and the length of their employment term. Employees could accrue up to 19 days of paid time off for 12-month roles.
