This position is responsible for managing key production material planning and control functions focusing on data collection and analysis of information regarding demand forecasting, inventory management and conducting material requirements planning (MRP) activities to enable optimal inventory levels that meet production's needs. This role must have a good understanding of data collection, and analytical skills to recognize trends, mitigate risks and enhance product delivery.
- Configure SAP Production Planning (PP/MRP) and Materials Management (MM) modules to meet new/changing business and operational requirements specifically supporting:
- Discrete and Repetitive Production Methodologies
- Batch Management, Serial Profile Management, Shop Floor Control, Process Order Management, and Material Staging
- Supporting Work Center, Routing, Bill of Materials (BOM), Production Versions
- Capacity Planning
- Production Order Execution
- Alternative and Substitute Materials
- Production Variance
- Capacity Leveling
- Production Versions
- Material movement functions
- Work with Product Engineering to establish and maintain bill of materials for all items assembled
- Work closely with stakeholders to establish and evolve a stable manufacturing schedule
- Continuously monitor and improve planning accuracy in all business systems
- Analyze product usage and forecast attrition based on historical trends
- Analysis and execution of program and work request closeout requirements to include disposition of all residual inventory
- Provide technical leadership to define, implement, test and train on production software system upgrades required to more effectively meet goals
- Assist the resolution of technical system problems associated with our production planning systems
- Apply comprehensive and in-depth knowledge and expertise on a variety of production planning projects and initiatives
- Applies highly professional business and technical knowledge when working with business partners, stakeholders, other ITS groups, and external partners
- Inquisitive, considering business needs while factoring industry best practices, out-of-the-box thinking while assuring scalability and supportable solutions
- Clearly documents requirements, specifications, business process flows, swim lanes to convey complex concepts to a broad audience
- Translates requirements and specifications into configurations first, customization second solutions to meet the needs of business partners while assuring alignment with architectural requirements
- Facilitates meetings within ITS, across business partners and external teams

- Program planning and production control systems experience
- Project Management
