What You'll Do
- Directly supervise and coordinate activities of bargaining maintenance technicians.
- Must complete Pre-Job Briefings for all self-performed work
- Manage personnel and equipment resources for work
- Review and approve time records for direct reports
- Required to provide management and oversight of maintenance activities for the organization
- Must be able to effectively and efficiently communicate verbally and in written form
- Specific tasks include management and oversight of:
- Union craft pool
- Schedule and assign jobs, working with planning and scheduling departments
- Ensure the safe execution of work in the crafts group while meeting work schedules, quality standards, and adherence to department budget
- Extensive knowledge of fall protection and general PPE equipment
- Waste removal and tracking
- Provide technical guidance to the site, and resolve critical site issues
- Knowledge of hazards associated with electrical work
- Familiar with electrical theory and operation
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Thirteen or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting
- In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2 (i.e., High School diploma and 3 years’ nuclear experience, or a DOE O 426.2 alternative). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2)

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
