This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Coordinator / Manager (Owner’s rep position) at Panther National located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The Purchasing Coordinator / Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiations, and procurement of materials and services. They will work closely with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement, and will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is to provide support for checks and balances for GC pricing for owner / developer.
- Pricing analysis for consistency. Coordinate base plan GMP’s as well as lot specific GMP’s with GC
- Project database management: Assist in set up of systems for project management for current and future homes in collaboration with GC.
- Check pricing and manage GC trade partners purchasing agents
- Setting up automation for design studio. Customer selection database and pricing for customer sign offs. Check ‘buyer’s cost’ once the vendor costs are established.
- Estimating and specification for Preconstruction management to set up future product for success.
- Bidding and Negotiation: Get occasional bids to challenge pricing from GC
- Assist construction team as necessary for homes under construction with additional tasks such as permitting and specifications
- Assist VP of Construction operations for project tracking, data analysis and reporting
- Handle Multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Assist Construction Manager of Amenities in estimating, vetting and pricing for Clubhouse and other site amenities

Qualifications
- 4 to 5 years’ work experience in purchasing in high end production or custom builder environment
- Proven track record of successfully estimating and bidding custom or high-end homes
- Expertise in excel and databases. Familiarity with relevant purchasing and project management software and tools.
- Basic understanding of construction, pricing and specifications for high end production building
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, ID plans and documents related to home building.
- Local relationships with trade partners and manufacturers. Previous experiences in rebate programs a plus
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
